BADOIT is a French natural spring mineral water @9U3K9 in Saint-Galmier. The water is naturally carbonated on its journey through granite rocks and underground gas deposits.

The history:

As early as 1778, Richard Marin de Laprade, court physician to Louis XVI, BADOIT because of its appetizing and @1L0G5 effect and ennobled it with the title Champagne of Waters. In 1838, namesake Auguste Saturnin BADOIT the spring in St-Galmier in order to then sell the digestive mineral water through pharmacies. Already in 1858 over 1.5 million liters BADOIT (7000 bottles per day) were sold. Thanks to its good reputation, BADOIT gradually found its way into top international gastronomy. In 1971 BADOIT part of EVIAN . Today BADOIT a product and a brand of the Danone Group.

Only about 260 million liters are bottled each year. So this is basically a rare water.

In 2019 Danone announced that BADOIT no longer available in Germany and the UK. Since BADOIT is a natural mineral water, the company is aware of the need to preserve the source and never promote more than nature can offer. In the French region of Saint Galmier there have been periods of drought in recent years, which had an impact on the groundwater replenishment rate. Danone believed that the responsible approach was to reduce the amount of BADOIT bottled and sold to protect the source for future generations.

The taste:

The carbonic acid contained in BADOIT is formed by combination and not by compression. BADOIT is very clear water, fresh and fine.

The tingling carbon dioxide content makes BADOIT a very pleasant, yet intense and unique taste @9L8B5 . The bubbling small and very fine bubbles give the water a beautiful structure. BADOIT is a substantial water, but has a very light taste despite its high mineral content.
